Healthcare Providers go Grey in May for #BrainTumorAwareness!

I have the privilege of working with Kay Bradley, RN a wonderful, dedicated, and caring nurse at the Recovery Network of Programs where we care for patients who often experience extended periods of social isolation as a result of their addiction, regardless of a Covid pandemic.

Kay and I are both brain tumor survivors, mine a central neurocytoma ('14, benign) and hers a pituitary tumor ('10, benign). We agree how fortunate we are to be working at a time in our country when many can't due to Covid or illness, or both. And we both agree, we love our jobs as clinical caregivers, making a difference in patient's lives and we are fortunate to be survivors.

I am sharing this image to help create awareness about brain tumors. I am involved with wonderful organizations such as The Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance, Inc. and American Brain Tumor Association that create awareness and platforms for patients, survivors, caregivers, and clinicians everyday like it's May.

Please share with anyone who is affected by a diagnosis.
